Julie Hansen

Content Writer

Julie Hansen is a writer-turned-lawyer-turned-writer, avid reader, and devoted follower of the Oxford comma (as everyone should).

Julie wrote her first story in second grade and spent high school filling notebooks with poetry, song lyrics, and early attempts at fiction. That passion for writing and creating narratives eventually led her to law school and a legal career, working on high-profile cases such as Deepwater Horizon and Mattel v. MGA Entertainment (a.k.a. “Barbie vs. Bratz”).

Today, Julie helps law firms translate their knowledge and expertise into engaging, thought-provoking material that people – not just lawyers – want to read. From Admiralty & Maritime to Zoning Law, Julie creates human-written content for human readers. The articles, blog posts, client alerts, and webpages she produces help lawyers and law firms stand out from their competition.

As for her ever-present love of fiction? Julie is now an award-winning adult and young adult author, further proof of her storytelling talents. A history enthusiast, concert pianist, and amateur photographer, she currently lives in a small mountain town on the Wasatch Front, where her only complaint is that the library isn’t nearly big enough.
