Rain BDM team member Ann Wagner actively supports Starfish Family Services, a nonprofit human service agency, and was quick to highlight their efforts to adapt their services to continue to help those in need.
“They service more than 4,000 children in Metro Detroit,” Ann said, “and continue to provide food, diapers, formula, and therapy services during this pandemic.”
Starfish Family Services has been recognized as a champion for children and families around the city who have limited access to essential resources such as education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. While prioritizing the health and safety of the community, Starfish now serves clients by extending telehealth behavioral services, offering a “grab and go” hub of essential items such as diapers and meals for families, and hosting an online portal that provides access to educational resources and activities for children.
Show Cause is Rain BDM’s social outreach program to support people and groups doing good in the areas where we live and work, including the many heroes helping others during the coronavirus crisis. Each member of our team has selected an organization making a difference in their local community.
