Rain BDM team member Jamie Pfeiffer is not only a multitalented attorney and legal content writer but also a food and wine expert closely connected to friends squeezed by the coronavirus’s economic fallout. Thanks to Jamie, we are pleased to back an innovative partnership that tries to fill the gaps: #MHKTogether.
The brainchild of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation and the Konza United Way, #MHKTogether is a creative community relief program designed for workers impacted by the shutdown of the retail, hospitality, and service industries in and around Manhattan, Kansas. When supporters purchase gift cards to businesses listed on mhktogether.org, a donation in the same amount goes to buy a grocery gift card for an individual or family suffering from lost wages or job loss. In April, #MHKTogether surpassed its goal of $250,000 by raising $280,000 that has been used to provide grocery assistance to those in need.
The Rain BDM team is grateful to Show Cause to this creative community program and the people it continues to serve.
